The research came from an essential, basic pictorial expression on blank canvas.   I then applyed a compact chromatic background, which was conventional, uniform as well as instrumental in a work of subtraction close to sculpture,  which shapes, empties, fragments, until shape expression was reached, in no gravity.  When I started this project, I first focused on sign, with no aesthetic references.      Only later, after ending the pictorial phase and going through a critical phase and overall work analysis, I realized this -symbolic rather than aesthetics- identity, wich is the title of  this collection.
